Dental Technology
What We Do

Since the discovery of X-rays in 1895, film has been the primary medium for capturing, displaying, and storing radiographic images. Digital radiography is the latest advancement in dental imaging technology.

Digital imaging incorporates computer technology in the capture, display, enhancement, and storage of direct radiographic images.

Advantages include:

  • time efficiency
  • less radiation
  • ability to enhance the image by altering contrast, density and magnification.
  • allows the dentist to transfer the image to TV monitors so patients can see an enlarged version of their x-ray.

Our ScanX system utilizes phosphor, flexible plates to capture images.
