A great deal of time is devoted to a patient's initial examination.
- Initial oral digital radiographs are taken as well as a Panoramic view.
- Existing restorations are noted and any necessary work is identified.
- The hygienist will do a periodontal exam and chart any diseased gum tissue.
- The dentist will review the patient's health history, complete a head and neck examination including an oral cancer screening as well as examine the patient's teeth and mouth with magnification and extra light.
- Oral hygiene instructions are reviewed.
- Questions and concerns will be answered during this time.
