Preventive Care

A great deal of time is devoted to a patient's initial examination.

  • Initial oral digital radiographs are taken as well as a Panoramic view.
  • Existing restorations are noted and any necessary work is identified.
  • The hygienist will do a periodontal exam and chart any diseased gum tissue.
  • The dentist will review the patient's health history, complete a head and neck examination including an oral cancer screening as well as examine the patient's teeth and mouth with magnification and extra light.
  • Oral hygiene instructions are reviewed.
  • Questions and concerns will be answered during this time.
